Patient safety events occur in all different types of healthcare settings, involving a cross section of healthcare personnel and contributing factors.  To have a complete offering of solutions to effectively capture safety events and why they occur, the solutions have to address all manners in which the events can be recognized, reported, analyzed and corrected.

Safepost, our founding product, provides a feature-rich, robust patient safety reporting solution for healthcare.  Our solution allows for all healthcare personnel to report near misses, safety concerns and suggestions, patient falls, surgical errors, medication errors, medical equipment failures and other safety events to the organization.  These reports can be routed for review to groups determined by the organization responsible for performing root cause analysis.  Root cause analysis will provide the functionality required to determine the contributing factors to the occurrence or near occurrence of a patient safety event.  The root cause analysis will be used as input into corrective action planning by the organization to close the loop from the reported event to concrete actions for improvement and prevention.

Safepost reporting only provides one aspect of capturing safety events.  Safety data collected by government agencies and payer data from government and other large private healthcare payers provides a wealth of information that can be used to determine trends, provide support for preventative safety measures, and detail historical context to safety issues.
